The best way to get rid of clutter, is to throw it all away. Stop being a pack rat, and you gotta not have that mentality of "I MIGHT use this one day" because you honestly, probably won't, and if you did it's not like you would ever be able to find it.

I can never throw anything out, and forget having a garage sale...I'm too busy going to yard sales to ever have one. My dream is a 4 bay garage filled with shelving for all my crap!

Great advice, Caughlin. I wasn't trying to sell an upscale model, just to show the range of what's out there. Simple ones work great, and anything is better than rapping on the wall.

I'm looking to add a small shower stall to an existing "fair size" half bathroom. (why we didn't put the shower in when we built the house is beyond me, but probably had something to do with money). At any rate, it still has to do with money...I'm thinking a small 34 in stall, that would steal a little space from an adjacent closet and would create this new useable full bath....hopefully increasing the value of this 4 bed, soon to be 3 bath house? Any idea on cost to have a simple shower stall installed.....if I do rough work....and just have plumber drop pipe through closet below? Hope you can help.

I find the best way to get rid of clutter is to have a yard sale. Clutter is usually caused by things that you do not need..instead of purchasing expensive shelving to store this stuff, sell it to someone that needs it. This way you will have some extra money and no clutter!

Couldn't agree more, food is naturally just best cooked with a flame. It's primal for food! Glass tops to me are a lot more modern and aesthetically better looking, but the quality of food is really what I would like when it comes to a cook top. Plus you can't heat up tortillas as well with glass tops than you can with the open flame!

Don't believe the hype with stud finders, I bought the 10$ from home depot because I didn't want to splurge the 50 or 60 the other ones were, and it works just fine. I have pretty thick walls too, hung up a huge mirror and it worked just fine. It was crucial, the whole knocking trick wasn't cutting it.

Wilma, you must have bought a cheap model glass cook top. I love my GE glass top. It heats just fine and is a breeze to clean.

I replaced my old gas cook top with an electric glass surfaced cook top, thinking that the "easy-clean" feature was worth the switch....no way! Glass cook tops suck. I can't even get a big pot of water to boil on this thing. Stay with gas!
