Holiday Gift Guide 2010 A Gift Guide for Your Favorite Homeowner

Posted by Paige Thomas ~ December 8, 2009

Can you believe how few shopping days are left until the barage of gift giving begins? Finding the right gifts can be hard work! But not to worry, here are some suggestions for those who love to build, decorate, and nest in your life:

Cordless Reciprocating Saw

I can't say this was on the top of my list - but when trying to think of helpful around the house tools, this one seems like a good gift for people who already have a lot of the tools they need. It can come in handy for projects both indoors and outdoors. If you bought a cordless drill (if you didn't, that should be on the top of your list) then you know how nice it is to have cordless tools, and you'll be happy to add another one to your repertoire.

Domino: The Book of Decorating

After a year of what seemed like the death of the shelter magazine, instead of gifting a monthly subscription, why not offer a beautiful book full of glossy photos and advice. In honor of my all time favorite home magainze, Domino, here is their book of decorating which is a compendium of all of their tips, tricks and perfect taste.

His 'n' Hers Tool Belts

The couple that builds together stays together (some might say). So why not get his'n'hers tool belts for the young, home renovating couple you know. Practical and fun, a tool belt will be put to a lot of good use, especially for someone who just took on a new house that needs some work.

Home Hardware

After a long day of renovations and home improvement, every homeowner likes to kick back with a beer, or maybe just a bottle of ginger ale, but either way, you'll need to open that bottle. This bottle opener is not only durable and functional, but it's also a well designed conversation piece. For other interesting and pretty home hardware, check out Rejuvenation and Anthropologie.

Chilewich Doormat

A beautiful doormat. Nothing much more to say. Any homeowner should appreciate the colors, design and elegant look of this doormat welcoming friends and family. Chilewich also has nice products for the table and indoor floors.
