Window Replacements for the Upstairs

Answered by Brendan ~ December 2nd, 2009 | 1 Comment » | Respond to this question

We are planning to replace our upstairs windows. We’re looking at vinyl for the smaller windows. But the main bedroom has a picture window on a sliding door to the deck. What options would you recommend there so that we won’t have to do this again anytime soon?

Window Replacements for the UpstairsI would recommend that you stay with the same style of window throughout your upstairs.  Generally, vinyl windows also have various sizes of sliding doors that are available in the same style.

There is no reason that a vinyl sliding door will not last for a very long time.  For any door to last for a long time, proper installation is absolutely critical.  Always follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions, so that in the event that you do have a problem, you can turn to the manufacturer for warranty service.
