I was going to use waferboard with a composite roof, but I was told that you should use plywood. Wanted something with a insulation /or foal backing. I am looking at the cost factor also.

Do you get a tax credit for 30 year roofing shingles?
The metal roof on my mobile home is leaking, what is the best way to fix it when you have a limited income?
Our Texas home has a tile roof and I've noticed some wear-and-tear recently. I'm sure some roof repair is in order, but I'm wondering what kind of repairs I can do myself and what I should hire a contractor to work on. Isn't walking on tile supposed to be dangerous?
My home in Phoenix, Arizona is a mission-style home with a tile roof. I am considering roof replacement with more modern materials. Is this a job I can do myself? What steps are involved in tile roof replacement, and what are the costs per square foot?
My home in Santa Rosa, California is 25 years old, and the shake roofing has deteriorated badly. I know a shake roof can be a fire hazard, but I like the look of shakes. Are there fire-retardant shakes on the market, and if not, what other roofing material would you recommend?
The rubberized canvas roof of my Pueblo, CO, screened sunroom is worn out and also greatly darkens my dining room and kitchen. A replacement from the sunroom manufacturer costs over $4,000. What replacement material would let in light, be easy to install, and hopefully cost less?
I live in rural Oregon. Four roofing companies have come out and given us the once over on our shingle roof. Each recommended different shingles based on our pitch and 3-tab existing shingles. But none of the shingle companies offered warranties on algae damage. I heard we need this, since algae have damaged the roofs all around our neighborhood. Can you suggest a solution for a roof replacement that will last and is worth the effort?
We had a roofing contractor out to look at a water spot on the ceiling of our living room and give us an estimate. He said it might be caused by badly installed flashing. The roof was repaired in the summer of 2002. We noticed the discoloration only last winter. The estimate was outrageous. What should we do next?
