Installing Shut-off Valves for In-Flow Appliances

Do you recommend installing shut-off valves for all in-flow appliances throughout a house? ie. toilet, sinks, etc.?

I recommend having shut-off valves for all water devices in the home. It can make it easier for servicemen or you to work on a particular appliance. It is also very convenient if, for some reason, that appliance will be out of commission for awhile.

If you are remodeling a bathroom, depending on the scale of the project, you may need the water off in that area for a month or two. You certainly don’t want to have the water off throughout your entire home for that extended period, so shut-off valves can be very handy.
