High Humidity Level With Musty Smell In Some Rooms
I own a ranch home built in the 70's, high humidity levels throughout. Musty smell in rooms in front of house (brick part way up outside) No mold or noticeable wet areas. Where do I start and who would I hire to find out what the problem is?

Damp and mold in our utility room!
We have a single block utility room downstairs with felt roofing. the mold and smell is just starting again and I cant go through another 6 months of the smell and water on the walls and ceiling. We have used mold paint and have a dehumidifer but this doesn't seem to do a great deal about the smell and moisture in the air. Open to all ideas!
Removing Fence Posts in Jonesboro, Arkansas
When we built our house near Jonesboro, Arkansas, we quickly put up a 4' high welded wire fence just to keep animals out. Now we're exploring better fences, but I'm also wondering how to remove the metal posts that held up the wire. They're stuck in the ground pretty tightly.

How much should it cost to replace wooden doors for the same size metal doors? Threshold needs to be changed. Trim around door inside and out needs to be new. My husband can take out the existing door to save us that expense.
Proper Way to Insulate a Crawl Space
What is the proper way and what material should be used to insulate a crawl space? The floor of the crawl space is dirt and about 2 to 3 feet high. It is accessed by small passegeways in the foundation. We live in northern New Jersey and have fairly cold winters.
How much does it cost to wrap fascia board with aluminum?
I have 1927 two-story dutch colonial. While replacing the gutters, the contractor said I need to replace much of the fascia boards and suggested I wrap all in aluminum. Cost $3800. My house is approximately 25 feet wide and 45 deep or 1850 sq ft. Does that sound reasonable?

Big Problem Venting Hot Attic
I live in Michigan in a ranch house. My house is shaped like a "T". On the right side, I have a garage with a firewall with no access to the attic. The garage is about 20' in width. On the left side of the "T", I have a family room with a cathedral ceiling with no access to the attic also. It is also about 20' feet wide. I am trying to bring in fresh air to these areas, but there are no soffits in that area. Our kitchen and dining room, which are underneath that area, are noticeably hotter than the rest of the house. I would like to know, what is the best way to bring in fresh air into those areas and have it vent out through the ridge vent. I am very frustrated, please reply.
