If the one piece tub/shower unit in your home's bathroom is too large to fit through the doorway, then you may have to cut it into several smaller pieces so that it can be removed during the demolition. A Sawz-all with a fine toothed blade should cut through the fiberglass easily, but make sure to wear your safety glasses and gloves, as fiberglass can splinter easily. I would also wear a dust mask so that you avoid inhaling any fiberglass dust. When putting your bathroom back together, check out the available multiple-piece shower units that are designed for bathroom remodels.
